Testimonials

I just discovered your blog and website ...and am totally impressed with your articles and blog posts. Not only do you "get it", but you also offer REAL help and solutions to problems we parents of ADD, etc kids face.

I was lucky to find Dr. Susan Giurleo after my 10-year-old son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. We really needed help, and had tried several psychiatrists and therapists in search of answers, but nothing had been much help.

Dr. Giurleo was the first professional that my son actually liked and would talk to; she is great with kids, very friendly, positive, and open. She really "gets" quirky kids!

Her parenting workshops are invaluable, jam-packed with helpful information. She understands our parenting challenges and gives practical solutions that can be implemented at home in a loving but firm way. She helped me understand what was going on with my son, and how differently he saw the world.

Having a specialist in the autism spectrum, like Dr. Giurleo, reassures us that we are on the right track, with someone who is up to date on all the latest research. What a great resource for our community.

A friend of a friend highly recommended Susan.  I was on a search for a therapist that understood children, ADD and could also accommodate a single mom's schedule.  Susan was all that and then some!  Her style and approach made our problems feel much more surmountable.  My son immediately trusted her and never complained about having to go see his "ADD coach".  Her personable and playful approach allowed him to have fun with her all the while gaining ideas on how to handle the difficulties that come with ADD.  I loved her choice of terminology calling him a "quirky kid"; rather then finding fault with the ADD spectrum she clearly saw beauty in it.  Her seminar gave me a slew of ideas on how to help my son become more organized and how to better deal with tantrums and moments of intense anger.

We have seen such an improvement in [our daughter's] mood, behavior and self awareness since she began working with you last year. We can't imagine another therapist helping her, or us, in the way you have. You truly have a gift.

Hello Susan - I also appreciate your newsletter - comforting (in the "you are not alone"/"other parents struggle with this too" kind of way) and informational. Well done.
